Make a decision to play a bigger game

I can’t emphasize enough the impact of playing a bigger game. But to do so, you first have to decide. You have to decide that you are going to do the thing.

I’ve seen firsthand how a single decision can serve as a catalyst for exponential growth. Take, for instance, a client of mine who created her first 10k month. When I asked what she attributes to this milestone, she said she decided. She made a decision that she was going to have a 10k month. I know this sounds simplistic, but it really is the catalyst. My husband described this so well: if you cast a line into the ocean, you are only likely to catch one fish. But if you cast a net, you open yourself to catching a larger volume of fishes.

The same is true for your marketing. If you are playing small, staying safe, then there’s an immediate limit to how many clients you sign or how big of an impact you create. At times, our endeavors seem as inconsequential as dropping a pebble into the boundless ocean. Today, I dare you to plunge in, create a splash, and revel in the waters.

One of the first things I encourage my clients and students to do is to think bigger, go bigger. The Bible tells us to lengthen our cords and strengthen our stakes. Essentially it means expanding your goals, strategies, and impact to achieve greater success. It involves pushing boundaries, thinking innovatively, and striving for significant growth.

To truly play a bigger game in marketing, it’s crucial to establish thought leadership within your industry. Leading discussions on relevant topics not only positions your brand as an authority but also attracts a wider audience . Additionally, strategic partnerships can be pivotal in expanding your reach and influence. Seek to amplify your brand’s impact in your niche.

Furthermore, enhancing your clients’ experiences should be a top priority. By consistently exceeding expectations and providing exceptional service at every touchpoint, you not only foster loyalty but also differentiate your brand .

Lastly, don’t be afraid to set bigger goals. Challenge yourself and your team to reach beyond what’s comfortable or expected. Aim high, push boundaries, and you’ll unlock new opportunities for growth.

Focus on the power of one

For years, this advice felt constrictive to me. Like you, I’m very creative, and the thought of just doing one thing over and over again, uhmm, just felt boring. At some point, you’ll need to recognize that establishing a structure and system to consistently generate leads, thus avoiding starting from scratch, is the foundation of your next level . That will eliminate 90% of the overwhelm, I guarantee you. I tell you, the mental clarity, the things that I’ve been able to do, the doors that have opened for me once I made those shifts is mind-blowing.

Integrate your faith in your business

The Bible talks about “good success”; for me, that was creating a business that not only brings me financial stability, but I wanted to expand in the most natural way, so that growing my business doesn’t feel like a chore.

I truly believe that you can create the business and life you desire, if you are very intentional about it. I wanted to weave my faith naturally into my messaging because I knew it’s my most powerful weapon in this online space. Literally, you can build and destroy by the power of your words.

This brings me to my fourth point, which is your messaging.

Refine your messaging

If you want to attract potential clients on autopilot, you are going to have to dial in your message, ensuring it resonates powerfully with your audience. Once I did that, I found my sweet spot, figured out what resonated, and then I created a marketing system to amplify my voice. And that’s where the magic took place !That’s when things shifted for me. That’s how I’ve been able to create strategic partnerships with 6 and 7 figure business owners, reach my next-level clients, and receive more by doing less.

Then, of course I made many mistakes along the way. But I always say, mistakes are stepping stones to your next. I’ll be sharing them with you openly so you can save yourself time and money as you leap to your next.
